CV Builder: write your career once, apply in any language
De Lorant Alexandru Kurazs3 min de citit
Looking for a job is hard enough. Keeping five versions of your CV in sync, rewriting the same cover letter for every advert and remembering which company you wrote to last week should not make it harder. The CV Builder takes that work off your hands.
Write your career once
Everything starts with My details: your contact details, photo, work experience, education, skills and languages. Already have a CV? Import the PDF and the app reads your positions, schools and skills for you; you only check what it found.
Your summary does not have to be a blank page either. The app suggests a self-description from your experience and skills, which you can keep, adjust or rewrite.
Six professional templates, a real A4 preview
Choose from six templates, from classic and executive to modern and timeline, and see your CV on a real A4 page exactly as it will print. One click downloads it as a PDF. Your language skills show with their level, and the total time of your experience is calculated for you.
One master CV, a version for every job
Your first CV becomes your master CV. For a particular job, make a copy, highlight what matters for that role and leave out the rest; the master stays untouched. All versions are listed together, so you always know which one you sent where.
Your CV in ten languages
Applying abroad? Give a CV a language profile: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Romanian or Hungarian. Headings and dates switch language automatically, and you translate your own texts once, side by side with the original.
A cover letter for every application
When you add a job application, choose the CV you are sending and paste the job advert. Write the letter then drafts a letter of intent from your experience, your best results, the skills the advert asks for, your education and languages, with a strong opening and closing. It writes one for every language of that CV. You read it, adjust a sentence or two and copy it into the application.
Your applications get a status, a calendar and reminders for interviews and follow-ups, so nothing slips through.
Share it with a link or a QR code
Every CV can get a public link and a QR code: send it in an email, put it in your profile or print it. You turn the link off whenever you like, and search engines are asked not to list it.
A business card that leads to your CV
Make business cards in the size of a credit card: your name, qualification, phone, email, website and the logo of your website on the front, and on the back a QR code to your CV in the card's language. Share a card as a link, let people save it as a contact, see how many people opened it, or print ten cards on an A4 sheet and cut them out.
Your data stays yours
Your CVs are visible only to you until you share a link. When you delete your account, everything in the CV Builder is deleted with it. The app is free of ads, like every DevQuake app.
Tips that work
- Keep your master CV complete and make short, focused versions for each job.
- Put numbers on your results: "cut loading time by 40 %" says more than "improved performance".
- Read every drafted cover letter once more and add one sentence about why this company in particular.
