Windows has grown from a floppy-disk program launcher into a system that talks to a server. This short comic follows the road from Windows 3.1 to Windows 11, shows what is sent back to Microsoft, and explains the few settings a normal user can change without breaking anything. It also shows the real speed-up: start-up apps, not services. Drag the pages to turn them.
