Split utility bills fairly, without a spreadsheet
By Lorant Alexandru Kurazs1 min read
Sharing a home means sharing bills: electricity, gas, water, internet. And sharing bills usually means a spreadsheet that only one person understands. The utility bill manager was built to replace that spreadsheet.
Upload the bill, let the app read it
Upload the PDF you receive from your provider. The app reads the total, the consumption and the due date from it, so you do not have to type them in.
Split the way that is fair for you
Some households split every bill equally. Others want to split by what each person actually used. The app supports both:
- equally between the people sharing the home,
- or by meter readings, with a photo of the meter as proof, so the split follows real consumption.
Know who has paid
Everyone sees what they owe and when it is due. When someone pays, it is recorded. If someone pays a little too much or too little, the difference is carried over to the next bill instead of being forgotten.
Never miss a due date
A calendar of due dates shows what is coming, and every bill has its own comments, so questions such as "why is the gas bill so high this month?" stay next to the bill they are about.
Good habits that save money
- Read the meters on the same day each month. Comparing equal periods makes unusual consumption easy to spot.
- Keep the photo of each meter reading: it ends most discussions before they start.
- Compare this winter’s bills with last year’s. Knowing the peak helps you plan.
